Antique Icy-Hot Bottle Thermos Black, 10.25” Tall (Untested)

$15.00Price

This Icy-Hot bottle is embossed on the base ‘The Icy-Hot Bottle Co. Cincinnati. O. Made in U.S.AM. PAT’D’ with 241 scratched in underneath. It was likely manufactured by the original, independent Icy-Hot Bottle Co. between its founding in 1908 and its merger in 1925.

Our understanding is that before the merger, it would brand its products with its name The Icy-Hot Bottle Company and its original location, Cincinnati, Ohio. After the merger, products would be stamped "Icy-Hot by Thermos" or "Icy-Hot Thermos Company," with the manufacturer listed as "King-Seeley Thermos Co." or a similar later name. Also post-merger, manufacturing moved to the American Thermos Bottle Company's main plant in Norwich, Connecticut.

The interior is glass to provide insulation. It comes with a screw on cap that also serves as a cup, and a cork stopper which appears to be original.

The exterior is vintage with scratch marks and smudges and a bit of rust on the rim of the base. The interior appears perfectly clean with only some rubbing marks around the neck from the cork. The cork is showing more age.

We have not tested this to see if it is still working.
