Antique Silver-Plated Celluloid Vanity Brush, c 1900s

Mostly likely a lint brush, rather than a hair brush, the back of the handle is believed to be celluloid with silver plating and decorative beading on the back. The bristles are most likely boar bristles. 
 
Believed to be from the early 1900s, this unbranded, simple vanity brush has a beautiful patina which we did not attempt to polish. The bristles do have some discoloration from prior use decades ago, but not enough for us to immediately toss this piece as we have others. We can imagine it sitting on someone else’s vanity…
