Birds by Joan Miro, 1955 (24 1/4” x 18”)

Joan Miro (1893-1983) was a was a Catalan Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramist, according to Wikipedia. There is a museum of his work in Barcelona which opened in 1975.
 
The edges of this poster have some discoloration. One corner is bent over as shown in photos. There is a tear in the top border of the poster. There are also push pin holes on the four corners of the poster, and possible glue stains on the back. When we were checking colors, we also noticed that if held up to the light, there are marks on the poster image not noticeable out of direct light.
 
We do not know when or where this poster was purchased.
