Butterscotch Amber Bakelite Beads with Rough Silver Beads Necklace 23”

This is a curious piece. The beads were confirmed Bakelite after using the hot water test and checking drill holes (amber would chip, which is not evident on these butterscotch color beads). The dark metal beads are unmarked and tested negative for silver. The strand they are strung on meanwhile appears to be a pink coated plastic, with the ends sealed with fire… 
 
We found this in our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. We do not know where or when she acquired it. 
 
It is in surprisingly excellent condition.
