Chunky Bohemian or Tribal-Inspired Bone Bead Necklace, 16”
This is a mystery piece from our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. It may have been acquired in the 1930s in Africa or as late as the 1980s in the USA or elsewhere. We were unable to identify its design online, but we do believe the disc-shaped beads are bone (not ivory) given their variations in color and texture. We believe the silver tone hook clasp and central bead encasement is brass, as well as the single spacer on one side of the central bead.
This piece looks weathered and stained, but we believe that was the way it came. It certainly is unique.
Length 16” clasp to clasp
