Kent 716-0201 Proportional Divider / Drafting Tool, 8” Long

This is a vintage drafting tool used to scale drawings or transfer measurements at a specific ratio. The four walls surrounding the center core read SOLIDS, PLANES, CIRCLES, and LINES. The adjustable pivot point knob works and can be moved slowly but surely up and down the scale and then be tightened to maintain a measurement.
 
This one was made in Japan by Kent, the original box giving it model number 716-0201, the 8 inch size. The box and the tool are not in mint condition. The box is a bit stained and has tape holding part of it together. The tool itself has some writing on it by our mother, and the blades have some rust or tarnishing.
 
We’re happy to see this go to someone who will use it (or try to learn how to use it).
