Mid-Century Italian Bitossi Bowl, 1960s, 4 1/8" Tall 10" Wide

This brown and bright orange footed bowl is likely by or for the historic Italian ceramic family Bitossi based on our online research. Although we could not find a ‘made in Italy’ mark or maker’s mark which we understand they started using in the 1950s, the only two matches online were both described as Bitossi. A very similar one was identified as made Aldo Londi for Bitossi. It is of coarse clay overglaze, highly fired, and rings when tapped. It is in excellent condition considering it age. Imperfections are natural. We have had it in our family for at least three generations.
