Miniature Antique Blonde Bisque Doll, Jointed, 2.75” Tall

$80.00Price

- We are consulting an expert to assess this doll’s value in its current condition and confirm it if is in fact bisque –

This small doll is believed to be bisque, with matt finish on the face which could be bisque (a ceramic), rosy cheeks, consistent neck area design, detailed hands, legs with pegs in the hip allowing for flexibility, presumably the same at the top of her arms. Her hair wafts around behind her, large knitted hat on top. Her lace, or crochet, dress is short with matching bag on elastic over one wrist, large baby blue bow on the other side. Underneath she has lace panties on. She also dons lace booties.

There is no stamp on the back of her neck where we were instructed to look. We are uncomfortable with the idea of removing her clothing or shoes to check for maker’s marks, which is why we wish to consult an expert.

We believe this was passed on to us through the Burr sisters, dating this piece to the early 1900s. It could also be older…
