Mother of Pearl Nacre Talon Pendant, 1970s Style
This unisex pendant has a metal setting which appears to be marked with numbers that do not relate to silver marks and a home acid test came back negative for silver.
AI told us this might be buffalo bone but it has a sheen, iridescence, reflects light, and appears to include organic variances which buffalo bone reportedly does not.
These were popular in the 1970s, including among surfers. We do not know when or where this was purchased. The setting has a patina we did not try to polish. The piece itself is not chipped or damaged or stained.
