Navajo Native American Thunderbird Silver Cuff Bracelet 7”
This flexible Native American silver five-band stamped cuff bracelet features what we believe is a thunderbird in the center piece, arrows on either side, with what we will call sunrises above and below. There are two additional large thunderbirds on either side alongside a traditional plant motif or pattern.
The thunderbird is a powerful symbol in Navajo culture, a sacred symbol that protects, warns of danger, and helps nourish crops.
This bracelet is not marked, but tested positive for silver using a home acid test. It came from our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. We do not know where or when she acquired it.
Note: We have another very similar bracelet listed, the only difference being a 'whirling logs' symbol in the center piece. See B016.
