Rattanakosin Era Unmarked Silver Cuff with Lotus End Caps, ‘Debris’ Inside 7.5”

SKU: B033
$100.00Price

Warning: If planning to wear this, please see sizing below as the band is only minimally flexible. You must be able to slip this over your hand, which we were not able to do.

This patina rich hollow unmarked silver bracelet features lotus bud end caps, geometric patterns on the bottom half of each side, and deep engraved diagonal stripes dotted with dimples on half of the band. Like many online, it is naturally a bit bent to allow the wearer to squeeze her wrist into it. Shake it, and you can hear something jiggling inside, which may be a bead or debris or something else. It makes a distinct soft sound.

This came from our grandmother’s vintage silver jewelry collection so we believe she purchased it in Thailand in the early 1970s when visiting our family there. It is in good vintage condition, but as shown in photos there is a soldering mark on one of the lotus end caps and there is a gap where the silver plate joins in the inside of the band. It did test positive for silver using a home acid test.

Circumference inside 7 1/2”

H 3 1/4” x W 5/8” tapering to 1/4” before the lotus buds, D 3 1/4”

Approx 2.75 oz
