Rigid Akha Hill Tribe Unmarked Silver Cuff Bracelet with Birds and Flower 6.5"
Note: If planning on wearing this, please note the slim wrist size of 6 1/2” as the cuff is not flexible.
This handcrafted engraved hollow silver tubular bracelet features geometric patterns leading to two large birds, each facing a floral image. The piece has a dark patina and some natural imperfections from the creative process. Otherwise it is in good condition. It was confirmed silver using a home acid test.
Based on the tapering shape of the bracelet, the shape of the ends, and the geometric patterns mixed with floral imagery, we have strong belief this is a bracelet worn by the Akha hill tribe people, particularly men in the past.
We found this cuff bracelet in our mother and grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. We believe it would have been purchased in northern Thailand in the 1970s or 1980s.
