Aside from natural imperfections, this piece is in excellent condition. Sawankhalok / Sangkhalok is an ancient Thai pottery style that uses traditional motifs using a powder ink. This piece features an ink that at times looks charcoal, other times a dark olive color. The side has natural crackling.
This piece was probably purchased by our mother Nancy Chandler in Thailand in the 1970s.
