Slim Unmarked Silver Tone Cuff with Geometric Patterns, Bird on End Cap 7"
Origin is unknown for this piece. The flat backed domed button-like end caps matched a few Berber and Taureg pieces online from Morocco, while the geometric patterns only partially matched a couple of Hmong hill tribe people pieces with the ladder with dots in the middle. Nothing matched the odd ‘bird’ attached adjacent to one of the end caps, which appears to have been decorative only. If we had to guess, we’d say it is a northern Thai hill tribe cuff, but we are not confident enough to proclaim such loudly for this piece…
It did test negative for silver in a home acid test.
We found this in our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. It is unpolished with a dark patina. Otherwise it appears in very good condition.
