Sterling Silver Gold Tone Baby’s Cuff Bracelet or Anklet, 5.75”

Warning: This is a rigid cuff with a very small opening of 1/2”. We are not sure how it was supposed to go on a baby unless one was small enough to put a wrist or little foot through the middle of the cuff.
 
This interesting small piece is largest at one end and smallest at the other. It is stamped STERLING but has a gold sheen, which we understand may be due to use of gold plating or a thinner gold vermeil or exposure to chemicals in the past. It did test positive for silver on a home acid test.
 
We found this in our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection although it seems too small for her wrist. It does have some unusual tarnishing which we were unable to remove with silver polish.
