Often found in cafes and bistros in Franch in the 1970s, this orange-rimmed little plate is printed with 2f-25 which meant 2 Francs, 25 centimes. They were used as serving plates in bistros and cafes in France in the 1970s, the marking indicating the cost of the food or drink in French Francs. There are many online described as ‘tip plates’, which we only mention should you wish to collect more. These are collectibles, coming in may colors with different French Franc prices, and many widely ranging asking prices.
