Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Screw Back Earrings

We have been able to confirm these unusual shape earrings have STERLING stamped along the edge of one the screw backs’ foot, but we are unable to make out the maker’s stamp on the other side of the edge. We also noticed that it appears the other earring has had its screw back replaced as the stud at the end is a different size than that on the stamped screw back and appears to have been glued on unlike the one with the stamp. The 'new' screw back does however have STERLING stamped on the side as shown in photos. When tested, the earrings were confirmed as silver using an acid test.
 
These come from our grandmother’s vintage costume jewelry collection and we believe they date back to the mid-century. They could use some polishing.
 
They sit just below the lobe, H 1” x L 1” x D 1/2”.
