Vintage C-Thru Hinged Parallel Rule for Drawing and Drafting

$5.00Price

The C-Thru Hinged Parallel Rule is a drafting and drawing instrument used for drawing parallel lines.

The transparent blades were imagined by a schoolteacher Jennie R. Zachs who founded the C-Thru Ruler Co. in 1939. It was bought by the Acme United Corporation in 2012 and continues to produce drafting and drawing equipment.

This one features cork board ‘feet’ on the bottom to keep it even and slightly above the paper, flexible arms, and small knobs with which to move or hold each clear ‘ruler’. It is in vintage condition with some scratches and smudges and one spot with sticker residue. These were hard to photograph, sorry.
