Vintage Carnegie Faux Pearl Double Ball Dangling Clip On Earrings
These come from our grandmother’s vintage costume jewelry collection and we believe they date back to the 1940s or 1950s.
The Back of the clip is stamped CARNEGIE as shown in photos. Carnegie was a specialty shop founded by Hattie Carnegie (1889 -1956) who grew a custom hat shop into a highly acclaimed ready to wear ‘hem to hat’ department store in the 1940s. Her story is quite interesting. See https://vintagefashionguild.org/designer/hattie-carnegie/.
There is some discoloration on one earring where the metal attaches to the lower faux pearl. We did not try to clean it.
They dangle about 1/2” below the lobe. H 1 1/4” x W 5/8”
Approx 0.4 oz
