Vintage Chinese Chairman Mao Pins (Set of 4)

These four pins were probably bought in 1968 by our mother as souvenirs although we don’t remember her stopping in China on her way to Japan. Nor did she ever support the Communist Party… she did however have a dark sense of humor.
 
We did learn the lower right corner one is of Tiananmen Gate in Beijing, designed in Soviet style at a time that China and the Soviet Union were building a friendship.
 
Three have what we believe are Chairman Mao quotations on the back. They all feel like they are made of plastic. 
 
Each pin H 3/4” x L 3/4” and approx. 0.05 oz
