Vintage Faux Turquoise Silver Tone Brooch (Missing Beads)

SKU: BP003
$5.00Price

This seems like an unusual piece with only the two faux turquoise balls next to the cabochon but then one realizes that there are settings for several more balls, or beads, which are missing. We’d still wear it as is, but maybe this is a home jeweler’s chance to create something old and new at the same time…

The cabochon in the center is believed to be Hubbell glass which was often used when turquoise was rare to find or expensive, and common in costume jewelery of the 1960s-1970s. The metal is silver tone, not sterling, confirmed by a home acid test.

This was found in our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. We have no idea when or where it was purchased.
