Vintage Hand Crafted Scalloped Hollow Silver Cuff, Origin Unknown, 6”
Warning: This cuff is not flexible, suitable only for those with small wrists!
We were unable to identify where this piece might have been made. The Akha hill tribe people of northern Thailand have similar base shape silver cuffs but we found no scalloped patterns online under their name. It could be Mexican but the suggested matches online did not actually match.
Wherever it is from, it is a beautiful vintage treasure from another time. It is not marked but it did test positive for silver using a home acid test. We did not polish it, allow for its patina to remain. The discoloration show inside the band in photos, is in fact the remnants of a price sticker. Evidence of damage is limited to work done during the creation of this piece – hammering marks on the outer edge and a roughly sealed soldering in the middle of the inside band.
Circumference inside band 6”
