Vintage Lao Dok Phikoun Flower Cannetille and Filigree Bracelet, 7.5”

This finely crafted bracelet features the Lao ‘Dok Phikoun’ Flower protruding from a silver base of woven bands, with a nice elongated figure eight hook as clasp. The meticulously hand-crafted silver work can take weeks to create before being soldered to finalize the traditional flower which represents auspiciousness, longevity, and good fortune. The back is smooth so should not be uncomfortable to wear.
 
This piece may have been purchased in Laos by our mother in the late 1960s or early 1970s or later. It has no maker’s mark or other indication of date acquired or from whom. It tested positive for silver using the acid test.
