Vintage Mechanical Shutter Release Cable for Cameras, 11.75” Long

This shutter release is short but stylish. It features an elegant black conical-shaped plunger handle unlike any we have seen online. We haven’t been able to identify what brand it is, but we would guess it was used with Canon cameras, a family favorite.
 
We believe this is compatible with both digital and traditional film cameras as long as they have the cable hole needed.
 
These are used to trigger the shutter remotely, minimizing camera shake and useful for long exposures or when using a tripod. When the plunger is pressed, it activates a pointer at the other end to release the camera shutter.
 
Note: It is only 11 3/4” long from plate to cable plug, which is not very long. 
 
It is in very good vintage condition.
