Vintage Metal Lock Box / Cash Box, Gold Tole, Red Handle (Well-Loved)

This tin box was designed to hold cash or documents. It has a handle for portability and a key for security. It opens and shuts, and hinges, key, and lock still work, but it is scratched, dented, has some white paint drops on the lid, and paint has chipped off as visible in photos.
 
We believe this dates back to the 1920s-1940s.
