Vintage Mexican Silver Fawn Deer Brooch Pin with Turquoise Eye

This sculptured design hails from Mexico featuring a long legged deer with detailed hooves and a rough turquoise stone as the baby deer’s eye. The back is stamped SILVER MEXICO, which we understand may date it to the 1930s-1940s. A long pin extends to the deer’s ear which is quite unusual when held up to comparable pieces online. The pin clasp is interesting too as shown in photos.
 
This came from our grandmother’s vintage jewelry collection. She did visit Mexico often in the 1960s and 1970s and possibly earlier. 
 
It is in very good condition.
