Vintage Mirsa All Wool Button Up Collared Jacket (Size S), 1960s
We believe this piece hails from the 1960s, the Mirsa brand known for its high-fashion, ready-to-wear apparel, including luxurious wool and cotton knits sold by major retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue and Marshall Field's at the time. The label inside reads Mirsa All Wool 100% Made in Italy. The color is a rich dark blue with black details. The sleeves also have some detail and one button on each arm.
There is a tag inside the sleeve which says 44, which we assume was the size then, emphasis on then. For current sizing, shoulder to shoulder is about 15” in the back. The bust is approx. 36”, the waist is 16” seam to seam in the back, so a snug 32” when buttoned. The length is 18” from the back of the neck to the bottom of the jacket and from the shoulder to the end of each sleeve. The label is attached by only one side and is crumpled as visible in photos. There is also some fuzz along the edges as shown in photos. Otherwise, we see no visible damage.
