Vintage Olive / Pea Green Smooth Classic Bakelite Bangle 7.75”

This piece is a smooth olive green seamless plastic with but one defect, a small ‘scratch’ that may have been part of the production process.  It tested positive to the Bakelite hot water test and the Formula 409 (Simichrome alternative) test. It came from our grandmother who would have bought it decades ago.
 
Bakelite was an early type of plastic which became popular in the 1910-1940s for costume jewelry as it could be molded easily into different shapes. The most collectible pieces are much more decorative or have rare colors, which this piece does not.
