Vintage Roger Fare Saks Fifth Avenue Ivory French Kidskin Gloves, Size 6-6.5

$10.00Price

Warning: These gloves say they are size 6.5, but we suspect they may be closer to a modern US size 6. To measure your glove size, use a tape measure to find the circumference of your dominant hand at its widest point, excluding your thumb. The resulting measurement in inches is typically your glove size. For half-inch measurements, round up to the nearest whole or half size.

These gloves come with faux pearl loop closures on the inner wrist. They are a bit out of shape due to poor packaging in storage for decades. They appear to be clean.

Roger Fare was a prominent French glovemaker, considered "the king of gloves" in the 1940s and 1950s, known for high-end, custom-made gloves. His work is held in collections like The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and he supplied gloves to figures like Neiman Marcus. His workshop and store were located in the heart of the fashion district in Paris. These gloves appear to be mass produced for Saks Fifth Avenue however.
