Vintage Rolleicord V Camera in Case with Rolleicord Lens and Hood Case, 1950s

The Rolleicord is a medium-format twin lens reflex camera made by Franke & Heidecke, this version marketed from 1954-1957 with Synchro-Compur lens mount made in Germany. It was a simpler, less expensive version of the professional Rolleiflex TLR, aimed at amateur photographers.

The serial number is 1565888. It does have some signs of use on the body of the camera. The leather camera case has some stains from dirty lenses used in the past as shown in photos. The leather case strap is also showing its age, but still in one piece.

The leather lens case, which is in very good vintage condition, is holding the following hood and filters:

Also in the lens case is a Rolleipol / R 1 / Germany which we believe is damaged, a water bubble inside the lens.

The camera has not been appraised and it is untested. We do not have the time or resources to test whether the camera still works, but all movable parts seem to be functioning. We leave it to a buyer to decide whether to use it as a decorative item or invest in having it cleaned up and restored for use as a camera. (The value of the camera alone should double if proved it is working as designed.)
