Vintage Taylor U.S.A. Meat Thermometer (Untested)

We couldn’t just toss this out without seeing if someone wants to test it! This meat thermometer by Taylor U.S.A. features a range of meats on the right side and the temperatures they should reach inside on the left side, as well as a handy metal piece attached to the side which can be moved to point at whichever meat one is cooking.  
 
It claims ‘water tight construction’ allowing you to ‘wash with the dishes’, although we would assume that does not include putting it in a dishwasher. We have washed it but it still has signs of age including discoloration in the grooves and a stain inside the glass. We did not try to polish it.
 
Bonus: We’re throwing in a second Taylor meat thermometer we found which must be more modern as it says DISHWASHER SAFE. No idea if it works either.
