Vintage Thai Elephant Statuettes (Set of 2)

These two curious elephants feature not just the shape of elephants but also go into detail showing wrinkles in the elephants’ skin and lines on the trunks, which we find unusual. They also have short trunks, which may appear broken at first glance but are not, both with some black paint or oil stains from the production process. We do not know what metal these are made of, the larger elephant hollow inside, the smaller one solid. 
 
We presume our mother bought or was gifted these during her time in Thailand from 1969-1989. They need a good new home!
