Vintage Tibetan Gold Tone Large Brass Bead Adjustable Necklace & Bracelet
These come as purchased, the fluted necklace beads strung on a long shoelace like cord, the bracelet on stretchy material that should be replaced as it is showing signs of age.
The necklace has eight smaller ball shaped beads of H 3/4” x W 3/4”, and five elongated beads of H 1 1/2” x W 3/4”. The bracelet features six brass balls of H 1” x W 3/4”.
We have not polished or cleaned these beads. Some do need cleaning. We also noticed at least one bead which may have a couple of nicks in the exterior casing. See photos. One peculiarity we noticed when measuring the necklace is that, while most of the beads are knotted in place, the ends are different lengths from the top beads.
These were most likely purchased by our mother in Nepal in the late 1960s when she lived there for a year and a half.
Note: Our online research suggests the beads may be gold gilded. We did not seek expert opinion on this. We have priced this at half what we estimate it is worth based on similar beads online.
Necklace adjustable length 19” -34”, approx.. 5.5 oz (156g)
Bracelet circumference 8”, approx. 3 oz (85g)
