Vintage Well-Loved Marcel Boucher Lucite Cuff Woman's Watch, 1960s

SKU: W001
$10.00Price

Designed by French American Marcel Boucher, who gained fame during the 1920s-1960s for his ultra modern work, this watch  is signed Marcel Boucher / New York – Paris / 17 Jewels on the charcoal color crosshair pattern dial. 17 Jewels refers to the mechanics of the watch, a Swiss winding system.

Ours is well-loved, meaning showing signs of its age. The lucite acrylic resin windows on the sides are crackled, and the slots that hold the windows in place could use a cleaning. The hinge has some rust or other tarnish. We do not know if the watch works.

We did see the same model for sale online for $ 80 with the windows removed, which seemed even more modern.

This watch was found in our grandmother's jewelry collection. We do not know where or when she purchased it.

H 2 3/8” x L 1 1/4” x D 2 1/8”

Circumference inside approx. 5” so suitable only for a smaller wrist.
