Winona Wenzlick (1907-2002): Travel Sketches: Bali’s Coastline, 1935

$5.00Price

Our grandmother, Winona Wenzlick Sands, sketched this while on a world tour in 1934-1935 with her aunts, the Burr sisters.

This is an original. Several more of her original travel sketches are at the California Historical Society.

This is in an older cream folder with cut out for the artwork, which is not in the best of condition. The original artwork inside is glued to the back of the folder, but could be cut out by a framer to be remounted. Unfortunately, the folder (rather than the artwork) is signed, titled just ‘Bali’ and dated just under the artwork within the paper frame. (We took the liberty to add to the title as she has several drawings titled Bali.) It is otherwise in good condition.
