Winona Wenzlick (1907-2002): Travel Sketches: Sarnath, India, 1934
Our grandmother, Winona Wenzlick Sands, sketched this while on a world tour in 1934-1935 with her aunts, the Burr sisters.
This is an original. Several more of her original travel sketches are at the California Historical Society.
This is in an older cream folder with cut out for the artwork. The original artwork inside remains glued to only one corner of the back of the folder, meaning reframing or mounting will be easy. It is in decent condition, but three of the four corners show signs of having been glued. The artwork is signed, dated and titled.
