Winona Wenzlick Sands (1907-2002): ASIA / Balinese Mural Detail, 1920s
This artwork was created by our grandmother in her art student days at UCLA, part of a series produced for a special assignment, a magazine cover or tourism promotion campaign. We have one other in stock featuring a Japanese deity, and photos of another two ASIA entitled pieces, but no more details than those on the back of the frame, which suggests it was in an exhibition, and a note from our mother saying these were done as a student.
This piece is in remarkably good condition considering its age and we must warn you, you are bidding against family who are considering keeping it. (We live overseas so we have limits on how much we can keep.)
